Trulle tries to take the "i" out of sea kayaking. Oh wait, there never was an "i". Anyway, paddling alone is no fun
Thursday Paddling in Pool (together with TSI Kayak Polo)
ONLY IN THE WINTERStakkevollan Basseng Thursday 2130-2230, show up at 2120 to get in.
Great for learning to roll!
Every Wednesday evening Trulle members meet to go for a short little paddle out from the boathouse. This event is not necessarily lead by Trulle instructors so members should have a våtkort or equivalent skill level. Drysuits are recommended when paddling in shoulder seasons and winter. Lights on persons and kayaks are also necessary in the darker months.
Weather very much depending , always check before you leave
Tromsø Havpadleklubb- Torsdagspaddling
Tromsø havpadleklubb is a a very large and active group with their boathouse right next to ours in Sjølund! Every Thursday evening they meet for a social paddle. You do not need to be a member of their club to join in on these paddles. Follow their events on their facebook page
Yes, Dugnads ( a fantastic untranslatable Norwegian word for a volunteer effort) happen for Trulle, too. We have a dugnad one evening every semester to clean up the boathouse, fix kayaks, take inventory, and other general tasks. If you like Trulle´s offer of nearly free unlimited sea kayaking you should show up for the dugnad. You might even meet a fellow paddler.
Social Activities and Trips
Social activities in Trulle include Freskluft very August, A spring kick off party at the boathouse, beach cleaning day, and sometimes overnighting trips. This spring ( 2018) we are in the preliminary stages of planning a Sea kayaking Symposium ( fancy way to stay a weekend with kayaking stuff happening) out on Kvaløya. Stay tuned!
